Warranty Policy

At Amita G Outboards, we supply genuine, high-quality outboard engines and marine components built to withstand demanding marine environments. We stand behind every product we sell and ensure all new machinery includes full factory warranty support.

1. Manufacturer Warranty Coverage

All brand-new outboard motors purchased through Amita G Outboards come with official coverage provided directly by the respective manufacturer (Yamaha, Mercury, Suzuki, Honda, and Tohatsu).

  • Recreational Use: Standard recreational factory warranties typically range from 3 to 5 years (depending on the brand and promotional coverage at the time of purchase).

  • Commercial Use: Outboard engines used for commercial, rental, or government purposes carry specialized commercial warranties, which usually range from 1 to 2 years or a set limit on engine operating hours.

  • Pre-Inspected & Refurbished Motors: Select used or refurbished engines carry a dedicated Amita G Outboards limited dealer warranty, clearly specified in the individual product listing.

2. Warranty Registration Process

To ensure your factory warranty is valid and active from day one:

  1. PDI & Pre-Delivery Inspection: High-horsepower outboard engines must be installed or inspected in accordance with manufacturer guidelines to register the serial number properly.

  2. Serial Number Record: Keep a record of your engine’s model number, serial number, and original sales invoice.

  3. Registration Support: Our team assists in registering your engine’s warranty with the manufacturer immediately upon dispatch or final delivery.

If you need assistance confirming your warranty status, please contact our support team on our Contact Page.

3. What Is Covered

Factory warranties protect against defects in materials and manufacturing workmanship under normal operating conditions. Covered components generally include:

  • Powerhead internal components (pistons, crankshaft, cylinders)

  • Lower unit gearcase and drive assembly

  • Factory-installed electrical, ignition, and fuel systems

  • Factory control systems and rigging components supplied with the engine

4. What Is Not Covered

Standard warranty coverage does not apply to damage or failure resulting from:

  • Lack of Maintenance: Failure to perform routine servicing according to the owner’s manual (e.g., oil changes, spark plug replacement, water pump impeller service).

  • Fuel Contamination: Engine issues caused by stale fuel, water in fuel lines, or improper ethanol-blend fuel mixtures.

  • Impact & Environmental Damage: Propeller or gearcase damage caused by striking submerged objects, grounding, or severe salt corrosion due to improper flushing.

  • Unauthorized Modifications: Alterations to factory ECU settings, performance modifications, or use of non-compatible parts.

  • Normal Wear & Tear: Routine consumable items such as anodes, filters, spark plugs, impellers, and cosmetic paint fading.

5. How to File a Warranty Claim

If you experience a performance issue or mechanical fault with your engine:

  1. Stop Operation: Cease using the engine immediately to prevent further damage.

  2. Contact Support: Reach out to our customer service team via our Contact Page with your original order number, engine serial number, and a detailed description of the issue.

  3. Inspection & Repair: We will guide you to an authorized service center or coordinate diagnostic steps to process the repair claim directly with the manufacturer.
