Shipping & Freight Policy

At Amita G Outboards, we specialize in the safe, reliable, and insured delivery of marine engines and accessories worldwide. Because outboard engines require specialized transport due to their weight and dimensions, we work with top-tier freight carriers to ensure your order arrives safely.

1. Processing & Handling Times

  • Standard Order Processing: Most in-stock engines and parts are processed and prepared for shipment within 1 to 3 business days.

  • Crating & Rigging: High-horsepower engines requiring custom steel or wooden crating, or custom rigging preparations, may require an additional 24–48 hours of transit preparation.

  • Order Tracking: As soon as your order leaves our facility, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing your freight carrier details and tracking/PRO number.

2. Shipping Methods & Delivery Options

Depending on the size and weight of your purchase, your shipment will be dispatched via one of the following methods:

Parcel Shipping (Small Parts & Accessories)

Standard parcel shipping (via ground carriers) is used for lightweight accessories, props, service kits, and portable hardware.

LTL Freight Delivery (Outboard Engines)

Mid-range and high-horsepower outboard engines are shipped via Less-Than-Truckload (LTL) freight.

  • Liftgate Service: LTL deliveries to residential or commercial locations without a loading dock or forklift include liftgate service to safely lower the crated engine from the truck to ground level.

  • Delivery Appointments: The freight carrier will contact you at the phone number provided during checkout to schedule a delivery appointment window. An adult must be present to inspect and sign for the delivery.

3. Freight Delivery Requirements & Customer Responsibilities

To ensure a smooth delivery process, please keep the following requirements in mind:

  • Clear Access: Ensure your delivery location (driveway, dock, or marina) is accessible by a large freight delivery truck.

  • Inspection Upon Arrival: You must inspect the outer crate/packaging for any signs of damage before signing the carrier’s Bill of Lading (BOL).

  • Documenting Damage: If any exterior damage to the crate or engine is visible, write “Damaged upon receipt” on the driver’s delivery receipt, take clear photos of all sides, and contact our support team immediately.

4. International Freight & Shipping Rates

We proudly serve marine customers globally:

  • Calculated Shipping Rates: Shipping fees are calculated at checkout based on the total weight, dimensions, and destination zip/postal code.

  • Customs, Duties, and Taxes: For international orders, import duties, taxes, and customs clearance fees are the responsibility of the recipient, unless explicitly arranged otherwise prior to shipment.

5. Shipping Insurance & Order Issues

Every freight engine shipment sent by Amita G Outboards is fully insured during transit.

  • Lost or Delayed Shipments: If your shipment encounters delays or tracking anomalies, our team will work directly with the carrier to resolve the issue promptly.

  • Address Corrections: Requesting address changes after a freight shipment has already dispatched may incur additional rerouting fees charged by the freight line.
